Catherine is the founder of Blu Iris Counseling and a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Georgia and Colorado. She is known for creating a therapeutic space rooted in warmth, creativity, and the belief that healing is always possible. Catherine works with adults and adolescents navigating substance use and complex trauma, offering trauma-informed care that honors each person’s resilience and story. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Georgia and her MA in Marriage & Family Therapy, with a certification in trauma, from Richmont Graduate University. Her work draws from EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral strategies. Her specialties include life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, family conflict, and recovery.
